Meet Gatsby, the big, lovable cuddle bug who believes wholeheartedly that he’s the world’s most perfect lap dog—in Great Pyrenees clothing. Born around February 2021, this gentle giant radiates loyalty—his foster mom swears he’s eternally grateful for being rescued and he shows it with every sweet kiss and adoring glance. A true gentleman on the leash, Gatsby will walk calmly by your side, and he also conveniently doubles as a foot warmer whenever you stop. This dapper boy may not throw lavish parties like his namesake, but when you come home, prepare for the best, most heartwarming greeting of your life—every time! When he’s not showering you with affection, Gatsby is part lifeguard, part seasoned sunbather who loves hanging out on the pool's tanning ledge, basking in the rays like a four-legged beach bum. Gatsby is fantastic with people and kids, but his size might accidentally send little ones tumbling, so a household with older kids is probably the best fit. While he’s a friendly fellow with dogs of all shapes and sizes, he’s a bit of a romantic and he especially loves the ladies. He’s particularly smitten with his canine foster sister, and he looks at her like she hung the moon. He does, however, believe that cats are meant to be chased (sorry, feline friends), so a cat-free home is best. As a refined gentleman, Gatsby does appreciate a good meal but prefers to have his dining space respected. That said, his canine foster brother is helping him brush up on his etiquette and learn that dinnertime doesn’t have to be a competitive sport. At the end of the day, Gatsby is just a big, sweet, lovable goofball looking for a family to love and protect. If you’re in the market for a devoted, always-happy-to-see-you best friend with a dash of silliness, Gatsby might just be your perfect match!
